Identify the terms in each expression.

ⓐ $9 x^{2} + 7 x + 12$
ⓑ $8 x + 3 y$

1. ⓐ The terms of $9 x^{2} + 7 x + 12$ are $9 x^{2},$ 7x, and 12.
2. ⓑ The terms of $8 x + 3 y$ are 8x and 3y.
