Divide Monomials: example 10.52

Simplify: $\frac{{(x^{2})}^{3}}{x^{5}} .$

Work it out on paper first. Then open the solution one step at a time, and stop as soon as you can finish on your own.

Solution

$\frac{{(x^{2})}^{3}}{x^{5}}$

Multiply the exponents in the numerator, using the
Power Property. $\frac{x^{6}}{x^{5}}$

Subtract the exponents. $x$
