Simplify: $\sqrt{3 x y} + 5 \sqrt{3 x y} - 4 \sqrt{3 x y}$ .

Work it out on paper first. Then open the solution one step at a time, and stop as soon as you can finish on your own.

Solution
$\begin{matrix} \sqrt{3 x y} + 5 \sqrt{3 x y} - 4 \sqrt{3 x y} \\ Since the radicals are like, we combine them. & 2 \sqrt{3 x y} \end{matrix}$
