Finding the Components of the Vector

Find the components of the vector $v$ with initial point $(3, 2)$ and terminal point $(7, 4) .$

Work it out on paper first. Then open the solution one step at a time, and stop as soon as you can finish on your own.

Solution
First find the standard position.
$\begin{array}{l} v = 〈 7 - 3, 4 - 2 〉 \\ = 〈 4, 2 〉 \end{array}$

The horizontal component is $v_{1}$ $= 〈 4, 0 〉$ and the vertical component is $v_{2}$ $= 〈 0, 2 〉.$
